First Harvest of the year at Root N Fruit

We’ve harvested our first crops of the year today at Root N Fruit, and have been rewarded for our hard work with a beautiful harvest of garlic! The team dug up over 40 well sized bulbs of garlic which will now be dried and distributed to the local community. Some of this produce, along with other seasonal veg, will be saved to be used in our upcoming Family Gardening sessions where we will use produce from the allotment to carry out cooking demonstrations for local families. This will hopefully show how easy it is to grow and cook your own fresh, tasty and healthy foods.
