Hedgehogs

Residents have reported spotting hedgehogs around the area. As their numbers across the UK have been declining in recent years, we set out to support them better.

We created safe housing for them at the Root’n’Fruit community allotment and set up a temporary feeding station in Middleport Park. We also rescued one young hedgehog found wandering on the road near St Paul’s Community Rooms one afternoon.

We hope to keep supporting them in future years.
