The Players Academy project has been successful for a number of years, evolving and improving with each round of funding. The project enables children and young people CYP) to learn how to play musical instruments, write songs, and record/produce music. This most recent project builds on the success of previous years, by incorporating music sessions for the community as well as regular sessions at the local high school.

I can’t believe how much I’ve learned since I’ve been coming to Players Academy! I love it
Musicians from Make Some Noise provide quality tutorials and support alongside our team, with the aim to support CYP to improve musically, increase confidence and self-esteem, and demonstrate their learned skills through a variety of performances.
During Summer 2021, community sessions took place within our hub in Middleport, and from September 2021 we have offered weekly sessions at the Co-Op Academy (Tunstall).
