Eco Lifestyle Project Ends
Article Written:For four years, our Eco Lifestyle Project has provided advice, activities, information and awareness around environmental impacts of lifestyle choices. The project is ending, but the practice is not.
The last several years has seen 60 people attend Eco Club, 80 people attend awareness sessions, 300 attendances at environmental events, and 300 eco-crafts completed at community events. Tenants of our Eco House were supported to look in-depth at their environmental impact, reducing their household footprint by over one ton a year. Half a ton of litter has been collected and over 15,000 flowers have been encouraged to bloom.
Staff, volunteers, residents and visitors have learned key environmental principles, and accessible and affordable ways to make changes for the better in their lives and community. This learning can stay with us and be built on into the future.
There is a variety of reports available on the project page. If you would like more information on everything we have achieved during the project, contact info@middleportmatters.co.uk.
