Middleport rates the environment “very important”

An survey conducted in Middleport on people’s perceptions and understanding of the environment has found that over 60% of respondents thought the environment was “very important”, with the rest rating it “quite important”.

The survey was conducted as part of the Eco Lifestyle Project to gauge current understanding and guide future work. 75% of respondents stated they make use of curbside recycling, but many would like more options, with over half expressing a desire for a brown bin for garden waste.

Overall, the survey showed that people were willing to make changes, but that they were not always available and accessible.
